The mission of the New Milford Department of Health is to prevent disease, maintain a healthy environment and promote community health for the citizens of the Town of New Milford.  We are working to meet this goal by providing a wide range of programs and services including enforcement of the Connecticut Public Health Code and local ordinances.  We are your local department of health and are available to help serve your public health needs.  Please contact us if you have any questions.


The Department of Health is made up of a team of trained health professionals and competent support staff.  In cooperation with the Mayor and the Town Council, the New Milford Health Department carries out it’s mission to promote public health in the community.
